Anzac Day

Anzac day is an important day in our yearly calendar we remember those who have fought and served in War.  These brave men and women are remember by many for their efforts.  At St Patrick's we remembered by participating in a school liturgy that was held in our Shamrock Garden.  Children listened to the meaning of Anzac Day and heard an address from our School Principal.  Students then were asked to place a poppy that they made in our school garden.

On Anzac Day some of our students and staff represented our school at the Nanango Anzac Day Parade and Memorial service.  They turned up early in their school uniforms, waving Australian flags and marched proudly.  We then sat and listened to some of the Service men and Women and what they went through.  We had some of our Student leaders place wreaths at the Anzac statue and one of our Leaders Ben, did a reading about one of the soldiers.  The spirit at St Patrick's is truly amazing.
