Grandparent's Day

This year, on 27th October, we saw another successful celebration of Grandparents. Here at St Patrick’s we recognise the important role Grandparents play in our lives and so we invited them to our school so that we could say thank you and show our appreciation for all they do.

The morning began with a wonderful mass lead by LG2. The church was packed and we loved hearing some of the responses from students about what they love about their Grandparents as well as hearing from the grandparents what they love about their grandchildren. Thanks Fr Nigel for making everyone feel welcome and we hope the Grandparents loved their little gift.

Following Mass, it was over to the library for a scrumptious morning tea. Grandparents and students enjoyed some delicious treats and were entertained by the LG2 students when they acted out the storybook “Our Granny” by Margaret Wild. Very cute!

Grandparents then took some time to wander around the classrooms to view the amazing work of our students.

We love having our Grandparents visit and look forward to them returning again next year.
