Last week, the Preps, Grade 1’s and their big buddies went out into the veggie garden to plant some new crops. The big buddies showed their buddy how to dig a small hole, gently pull their seedling out of the pot and carefully covering the plants roots with soil.
We planted silverbeet, cabbage, broccoli and lettuce.
The preps noticed that some radishes were ready to eat. Some of the preps really enjoyed the radishes that we picked, but some thought that they were a bit spicy! While we were looking at the radishes we also noticed that some of our oranges and mandarins were ready for harvest. We all tried some of the juicy fruit and thought they were delicious!
