Christmas Message from our Principal

Dear Parents, Caregivers and the St Patrick's Community,

As the school year draws to a close let us look back on all we have achieved throughout 2021.  We welcomed our new Year 6 school leaders, and our newest cohort of Prep students, and we watched them flourish in their learning journeys, enjoying significant milestones and celebrations with their peers across the year.

This year we've also had many learning celebrations.  In Term 3 we had Book Week that was a celebration of learning which saw classrooms abuzz with bringing texts to life with the theme 'Old Worlds, New Worlds and Other Worlds'.  The classroom and office door displays were fantastic and entertained St Pat's students and visiting Nanango Kindy guests alike.

At lunch times students had many great clubs to choose from over the terms, from the excitement of Science with Mr Heenan, to Crochet with Mrs Whaley and Mrs Knie and so many others in between.

Our sporting teams have triumphed, congratulations to Bergin for making a clean sweep of the Cross Country Carnival, Athletics Carnival and Swimming Carnival.  These events could not have gone ahead without the work of our St Pat's staff and the support of our parents.

A special thank you to all the parents who have been able to attend or become actively involved in the work of our St Patrick's Parent Connect.  The work of our St Patrick's Parent Connect has allowed for the sharing of parent voice on school initiatives and for the active involvement of our valued school parents.  The parents of our school were instrumental in bringing back the St Patrick's School Quiz night after a year off in 2020.  With this and other fundraising initiatives, our St Patrick's Parent Connect have fundraised $5670.01 to support the resourcing of our school and to help further build the parent community of our school.

As we prepare to celebrate the wonder, grace and joy of the birth of Christ, our school community wants to pause for a moment and thank you for your ongoing support of our St Patrick's Primary School.  From all of us at St Patrick's, we wish you and your family a safe, joyous and blessed Christmas and a relaxing holiday break.  We look forward to seeing you back at school in the new year on Thursday, 27 January 2022.

God Bless,

Justin McCarthy
