A Scene of Green

A scene of green washed over St Patrick’s on Tuesday during their St Patrick’s celebration. St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School in Nanango certainly let it be known that they were proud of their Patron saint, St Patrick. Celebrations began with a whole school mass, during which, the students in LG3 portrayed the life of St Patrick, using the strategy of Freeze Frames.
Following a beautiful mass, the children indulged in a variety of green food, such as green sausage rolls, green pancakes, and green ice-cream, to name but a few of the delicious foods. They were then treated to a cake creatively decorated with the shamrock, the schools symbol.

With smiling faces and very full stomachs, they participated in a series of fun games. These included a jumping castle, shamrock tattoos, iced shamrock biscuit and leprechaun crowns. It was not only the children having fun, but teachers and the Parish Priest, Father Nigel were sighted competing on the gladiator jumping castle.
