Overview of Religious Education

St Patrick’s Catholic School, Nanango, is a co-educational parish primary school with classes from Prep to Year Six. While being faithful to its Catholic ethos and traditions, the school accepts enrolments from families who support Catholic Christian values. This includes a number of families who are not Catholic, and others who have no religious affiliation.

Our Vision for Religious Education:

St Patrick’s Catholic School, aspires to educate and form students who are challenged to live the gospel of Jesus Christ and who are literate in the Catholic and broader Christian tradition, so that they might participate critically and authentically in faith contexts and the wider society.

At St Patrick’s School, a Catholic view about learning and teaching is reflected in both dimensions of Religious Education, namely, the classroom teaching and learning of Religion and the religious life of the school. It is in the coming together of the two dimensions that enables the Vision for Religious Education to be fully realised.
